Here is a brief overview of how to move around to the various sections of Marty 5:

Main Menu Bar

When using Marty, you will notice a menu bar at the very top of the page. This bar contains the primary navigation links (Contacts, Documents, Transactions, Handbook), as well as information about who is logged in.

If your browser window is sized below a certain width, you will notice a change to the structure of the top menu bar. To save space on your smaller screen, the menu is collapsed/hidden until you click the button on the right-hand side of the bar. The same navigation choices as usual are provided in this dropdown menu.

To visit different areas of Marty, you can simply click on the primary navigation links in the menu bar and you will be taken to the corresponding section's main page.

Login/Logout

To use Marty, you must be logged in. If you try to access a page when you are not logged in, you will be redirected to the login page. You can also access the login page through the main menu bar. When logging in, you use the same username and password that you do for email ( for instance, if your email address is my.name@iss.com, you would log into Marty with the username "my.name" ).

When you are finished using Marty, you should log out. To do this, you can click on the "logout" link provided in the main menu bar.

Important: Marty stores traceability data based on the currently logged in user. For instance, if "john.doe" is logged in and creates a document, Marty notes that "john.doe" created that document. Logging out ensures that your name will not become associated with data that is not "yours" if someone else were to use Marty on your computer.
